Weekly THURSDAY NIGHT "Zoom" Lectio Divina

CHANGE as of June 25: With the partial reopening of the Church (but other in-person group meetings still not allowed), note that we will continue our Thursday night Zoom Lectio Divina but at a slightly later time 7:30 PM rather than 7:15 PM.  Hopefully this won't produce any great inconvenience.  Zoom information remains the same below.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE: For as long as the "Shelter at Home" order remains, and boy do we all hope that it will end soon.

We would like to invite you to participate in a weekly THURSDAY NIGHT Lectio Divina by way of ZOOM.  We will start about [time changed, see above].

If you don't already have an account, Zoom will ask you to create one (for free) and if you have accounts on either FACEBOOK or GMAIL all you have to do is click either of those two options and you'll be in.

What is Lectio Divina?

We simply read / pray over / and lightly discuss the Gospel Reading for the Coming Sunday in THREE CYCLES (it all takes about 40 minutes to an hour).  It's _simple_, _peaceful_, _beautiful_ and it can help you re-connect with your friends at the parish.

If you like it, you can later happily do this IN YOUR OWN TIME, ON YOUR OWN ZOOM MEETINGS in your own groups / ministries (and after the crisis ends, do so in your own homes or at the parish.

Again, it's a lovely, simple spiritual exercise that can be done in small groups together.

Fr. Dennis
