CHANGE as of June 25: With the partial reopening of the Church (but other in-person group meetings still not allowed), note that we will continue our Thursday night Zoom Lectio Divina but at a slightly later time 7:30 PM rather than 7:15 PM.  Hopefully this won't produce any great inconvenience.  Zoom information remains the same below. ORIGINAL MESSAGE: For as long as the "Shelter at Home" order remains, and boy do we all hope that it will end soon. We would like to invite you to participate in a weekly THURSDAY NIGHT Lectio Divina by way of ZOOM.  We will start about [time changed, see above]. You can join-in by simply clicking:  https://us02web. zoom.us/j/83092325559?pwd= bmhCM2JURHlKR2JqaUo2YjZPbWZUdz 09 If you don't already have an account, Zoom will ask you to create one (for free) and if you have accounts on either FACEBOOK or GMAIL all you have to do is click either of those two options and you'll be in.

IMPORTANT MODIFICATION in the EMERGENCY FOOD DISTRIBUTION at ST. PHILIP BENIZI'S this Saturday, May 2, 2020 11 AM - 1 PM

Image
Okay folks, Because there have been a lot of questions, sincere ones, and worries, about how this distribution is going to work and the organizers themselves have gotten a bit nervous too -- it's become bigger than they thought it would be -- to limit things, some important changes are going to be made: First, this is going to be restricted to people who are local.  So don't be surprised if you're asked where you live.  A couple of us from the parish will be helping with checking on this as well. It may seem obvious to everyone now, this is no joke, it's clear now that there is a big need for this. Then if they run out of food stuffs to give out, they'll at least offer you the opportunity to leave your name, contact info for "the next time" either here or elsewhere. It's a good group, it's just clear that the need is bigger than most of us would have imagined. -- Fr. Dennis
