A Pictorial Life of St. Philip Benizi at SPB Parish, Fullerton, CA

[Versión en Español] Introduction: Sometime in July 2021, a family of artists from my parents' part of the world "dropped out of the sky" and came to the Parish to ask if they could paint some things for us.   They said not to worry about money as they had their own funding but wished in fact to do something nice for a friend they had known who had a connection to Fullerton.  Looking at a number of examples of their work -- they were good -- and assured that this wouldn't cost us anything (we will definitely take up a Collection for them before they complete all of their work), I said what the heck.   For the sake of due diligence, I had them go through our Diocese's Safe Environment program, complete with finger printing, and I got them all COVID-19 vaccines.   With any such request in this regard, they always quite happily complied. And so, we set about figuring out things for them to paint.  After watching them work on the first assignment that we gave them --

Interfaith Prayer Service on Zoom, Nov 9th at 12:15 PM for the 30 People "Without Fixed Abode" who died in October, 2021 in OC

Hello, All are invited to a Zoom Interfaith Memorial Prayer Service for OC's Homeless Deceased. Tuesday, Nov 9th at 12:15 PM Another 30 people died "without fixed abode" in OC in Oct, 2021, including 3 in Fullerton.  This brings the year's homeless death count through the end of October to 321 lives county-wide or only 4 less than the 325 homeless lives lost for the entire year of 2020 with two months to go.  Since county-wide the death rate among those "without fixed abode" has been essentially one person per day, we've almost certainly passed last year's (then also record) level by now. And in Fullerton, the homeless death count stands now at 21 with two months to go.  Last year, for the whole year the number of deaths of those without fixed abode was 20.   So Fullerton has already exceeded last year's number. Does it have to be this way?  Of course, not. Fr. Dennis Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83641913998 Meeting ID: 836 4191
