[Versión en Español] Introduction: Sometime in July 2021, a family of artists from my parents' part of the world "dropped out of the sky" and came to the Parish to ask if they could paint some things for us.   They said not to worry about money as they had their own funding but wished in fact to do something nice for a friend they had known who had a connection to Fullerton.  Looking at a number of examples of their work -- they were good -- and assured that this wouldn't cost us anything (we will definitely take up a Collection for them before they complete all of their work), I said what the heck.   For the sake of due diligence, I had them go through our Diocese's Safe Environment program, complete with finger printing, and I got them all COVID-19 vaccines.   With any such request in this regard, they always quite happily complied. Hi folks, Offering here a "Part Two" to my pandemic movie picks.  "Part One" centered on Comedies .  Here are dramas / thrillers.  Every one of these films is accessible via Amazon and/or Google Play and IMHO worth one's time. Interfaith Prayer Service on Zoom, Tues, April 9th at 12:15 PM for the 38 People "Without Fixed Abode" who died in March 2024 in OC

  All are invited to a Zoom Interfaith Memorial Prayer Service on Tuesday, April 9th at 12:15 PM for the 33 people who died "Without Fixed Abode" in OC in March, 2024 as well as the 1 other who died in January, but whose death was recorded only now.  Zoom  info below. The death count for the first three months of the year stands at 120, last year (2023) it stood at 151, two years ago (2022) it was 123.  So it remains an improvement over last year.  However, in the years prior, the death rate was significantly lower still 100 for 2021, 66 for 2020, 52 for 2019.  During the same period of time, by the federally mandated PIT counts, the number of people who found themselves homeless was about the same or higher than it is now.  So despite declining from last year, the death rate among those who find themselves homeless in OC remains higher than it was in the recent past.
